  5. opens where changes their entry "Watched Folder" on a test folder, then find your FireFox files that are loaded in a later step, are stored. It makes sense to a folder in your home

directory firefox_testing in my example. To let her rest as it and close this window.
  6. Next, let us invite the Firefox beta and check the MD5 sum.
  7. We click again right in your browser, select Foxter -> Browse FTP Directory and hand over hand through the directory structure to the desired version of Firefox (in order to shorten the current beta: x86 ftp://ftp.mozilla .org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/4.0b6/linux-i686/de / , 64-bit: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/4.0 b6/linux-x86_64/de / )

  9. After the download is it the start neu.Nun Firefox, we check the MD5 sum, to be sure that we have downloaded the file correctly.
  10. Simply open this file and looking out the MD5 sum of the download. (On the right is the exact file name and folder, left the MD5 sum)
  11. We copy the MD5 sum, and then right again -> Foxter -> Check File and then select our newly downloaded file. Quick checks whether the file is okay (MD5 matched) or not containing.
  12. Is everything all right, we can now this file using our popular right click -> Foxter -> Install and our downloaded file. Now is also already installed the beta:) does not get any faster.
  13. Now we can start the version in which we right click -> select Foxter and start the menu item Launch . opens early in a new window with the new Firefox (showing up on the title bar: "Mozilla Firefox 4.0 Beta 6)
  14. one wants now this beta use with its current profile, you can generate them naturally set as the default given by the right. Click -> Foxter -. / Default select and choose where your version, it is a security question, whether Will you have the Firefox and really after him
     / opt
want to install. This just confirms it, and then open a console window. This window not close, but if a request to enter the sudo password is, enter it. It then installed the beta for Firefox
     / opt
and then starts when Firefox 4.0 beta 6 again.
  15. Should you at some point no longer wish to use the beta, so you can return to the original Ubuntu Changeover contacts, in which her (you guessed it) right click -> Foxter -> Revert to Original chooses.
